Project MRT is a new and ambitious iteration of a contestable future food system that critically explores the tech and narratives of naturefree living; when, in the name of sustainability, the means of production are decoupled from land (nature). It sets as an open (input dependent) circular system of food production while the main output is vast amounts of data.
Through series of interconnected elements: compost-incubator/fermentation/alkaline- hydrolysis/hydroponics/aquaculture/data control room/solar and hydroelectric systems- it will consider the application of AgTech in the attempt to replace natural elements with artificial substitutes and produce data as the new food ingredient. The project will feature living installation, experimental performance, symposium & live-streaming events.
